We’re not just sorting your Long Weekend Saturday, Lighthouse Country is putting on a full weekend’s worth of entertainment kicking off with a pre-party at the Lighthouse Hotel on Friday night (3 May) with local favourite, Brendan Egan, locked in to warm you up and let your hair down before Saturday’s main event.

After the stage lights go down on Lighthouse Country on Saturday night, every ticket holder is invited to a free after party across the road at the Lighthouse Hotel with Mark Lavender and his band set to keep the festivities going until the wee hours.

We’re also putting on a Sunday recovery session at the Lighthouse Hotel for all festival attendees (free entry with Festival wristband or $10 cover charge for non-attendees) to catch up with all your new mates over a free drink (included with entry) and belt out some more tunes with Keely Ellen and Hillbilly Goats providing the musical backdrop.

To help keep the hangry at bay, there will be an international array of food options available with 17 individual vendors serving delights from Italy, Mexico, Asia, Germany and Spain, including all the main food groups – paella, pizzas, hotdogs, hamburgers, sausages, satay, baos, dim sims, fish and chips and tacos, alongside coffee trucks, snowcones, donuts, pancakes and more.

We’re thrilled to confirm our friends from TCAC will be giving traditional painting, beading and weaving demonstrations and workshops, including a special opportunity for kids to learn indigenous symbols and their meanings so they can paint their own dream time story using a supplied canvas and an easel which they can take home with them.

Pete Denahy will be pulling double duties across the day. As well as performing some of his classic hit songs in the Kids Zone, Pete will be holding whip cracking demonstrations and whip platting workshops throughout the afternoon for all our potential cowboys and cowgirls.
